IPC Section 309 has no BNS equivalent

• IPC 309 (Attempt to commit suicide) → No BNS equivalent
  Not carried over: the BNS has no general offence of attempting suicide. §226 is a new, narrower offence (attempting suicide to compel or restrain a public servant).

Offences committed before 1 July 2024 are still charged and tried under the IPC; the BNS applies to offences on or after that date.
